Pic of the day…something I wore.

I told myself starting in the new year I was going to write or type in this thing….I haven’t kept that promise but here I am. February 17, 2012 first post of the new year. And I’m not going to give up on using this. Worry about the criticism that may come along with some posts. Or forget to not only write about the bad things in life…but the good as well. Here’s to owning my words.

Yeah, I kinda love those two. 

 if i met these two… my life would kinda be complete

so in my attempt to get john mayer to have a glimpse into my relatively small and mundane life and maybe give a hoot i created a tumblr….he’s yet to follow me…john you broke any last hope of believing that not all men lie….what gives? there may still be some shot of redeeming yourself by giving me backstage passes to the hollywood bowl concert ill be attending in aug. …hah. i’m kidding mr. mayer. you’re still my favorite =) but really, follow us back…you promised.

i think i’m going to take a week to disconnect from some technology…facebook, tumblr, flikr…etc. sometimes those social networks and technology can become overwhelming. i remember when i wasn’t the only kid in high school without a cell phone, now it’s taboo if you don’t. they say technology makes times easier…i beg to differ. there was never the means of social stalking as there is now…or having to worry about your phone ringing constantly when you’re out having a good time…or tweeting on dates. classy.

i guess i’ve seen the effects of technology ruin relationships…and at times tested even mine. i don’t blame john mayer for ending his relationship with twitter. who would want to wake up to constant negativity from people you don’t even know?…celebrities are just people too…as cocky or confident as they seem, their hearts break plenty of times just like ours.

tonight for instance i realized that had i not had a cell phone…maybe the fight between my boyfriend and i wouldn’t have happened. cell phones make you send texts that you regret later…or call repeatedly when with a house phone you would get tired of redialing each number..if you didn’t have a redial button. and for this exact reason and stupidity on my part (yes i own up to causing the fight) i shall disconnect for a week from these networks and hopefully come back with a new appreciation for technology, but not a need for it.
